KNIFE CARE

Wash

KNIVES ARE NOT DISHWASHER SAFE!!! Wash by hand with hot water, dish soap, and a cloth or sponge. When you're not actively using the knife, but still prepping, it's good to give it a quick rinse and a wipe so it's not corroding while you prep something else.

Dry

1084 steel will rust if you let it. Make sure your knife is completely dry before putting it away.

Oil

Wiping your blade down with oil when not in use helps prevent natural oxidization. There are plenty of options to choose from, but two food safe options I use are Axe Wax and Ballistol. When your knife first arrives it will have a healthy helping of wax or oil on it to protect it during it's travels. Wax/oil can also help give the handle a protective layer and a nice shine.

Intended use

DO NOT use knives for anything other than their intended purpose. Improper use can result in injury to self or damage to the knife.
